Will be held on March 25th and 26th at Fordham School of Law
Happening Now (WIF: TeleSur + nationalcubaconference.org)
Debates, workshops and mobilizations, focused on the goal of ending hostile actions by the US government that hinder normal relations between the two countries.
The presence of people from 24 US states and four Canadian provinces, called for solidarity with Cuba and for the need to remove economic, commercial and financial sanctions and to obtain the return of the territory occupied by the Guantánamo Naval Base and the Cessation of regime change programs.
From the national conference will come initiatives and proposals to promote normalization of relations, a scenario that is not possible with the hostility maintained by successive US administrations since the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959.
A solidarity rally will be held tonight at the Malcom X Center in Washington Heights ( http://theshabazzcenter.net/) Manhattan, one of the main activities of the conference that will conclude tomorrow.
