“It is contradictory the continuity of the mechanisms of economic-commercial persecution of the United States government against our country in the framework of the new projection that began on December 17, 2014.”
The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury Department has granted a license for the North American producer Cuba International Network (CIN) to operate in Cuba which would allow the Co. to carry out activities on the island and do business with Cuban RTV Commercial the Marketing company for Cuban radio and television on the island.
CIN, based in Fort Lauderdale, north of Miami, was granted the license on March 20 and that for now they are only doing “pre-production” work on the island.
Last August, CIN had already been authorized to set up an audiovisual store on the island to provide equipment and personnel to support the production of broadcast, television and video content for consumption in the United States and international markets.
On January 20, the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) imposed a fine of $ 140,400 on US design company WATG Holdings Inc. for violating the unilateral sanctions regime against the island.
The WATG subsidiary in the United Kingdom, Wimberley Allison Tong and Goo, worked for a Qatari company in the design and architecture of a hotel project in Cuba, for which it received three payments.
