The busiest avenue in Havana was filled with colors. Drums began to ring and hundreds of people were included in the “Cuban “Conga” against homophobia and transphobia”.

The National Center for Sexual Education (Cenesex) celebrated this Saturday 10 years of LGBTI activism for inclusion and social acceptance in Cuba.

 “Ten years have passed since we celebrated for the first time in Cuba the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia. Many things happened in this decade of intense work, where hundreds and thousands of people have gradually contributed their participation to the development of the Cuban Conference against Homophobia and Transphobia “ Mariela Castro Espínaid Cenesex director and deputy to the National Assembly for the Popular Power.

“Cuba is one, that’s why I include myself!”, “Revolution of all colors!” And “Socialism yes, Homophobia no!”, Chanted the members of the Cuban LGBTI community and everyone who wanted to join The celebration of diversity, in the framework of the X Cuban Conference against Homophobia and Transphobia.
