The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) – Department of the Treasury has fined a subsidiary located in Canada of the American Honda Finance Corporation with $ 87,255 for violating the “american law which forbid every trade with the island”.

The OFAC could do this “thanks” to the extraterritorial character of the blockade imposed by our country on the island that reaches third countries.

In the last 6 months the United States government has fined 11 entities (seven American and four foreign) for an amount of 2 842 429 064 dollars.
